Good Morning,
I am setting here listening to the birds “squawk” outside. The sun rises about 5:30 and sets about the same time. This varies throughout the year a little bit not much. We are right on the water and there is a constant breeze which is very nice. Yesterday we rode our bicycles to town—about 2.5 miles. The roads close to our condo are dirt with very large ruts. They soon turn into cobblestone which is a little rough but there is an area along the side that is for water drainage, I think. It is smooth and most people ride their bicycles there.
We stopped at several grocery stores to purchase some goods and to compare prices. It seemed that the closer to town the more expensive. I think they really take advantage of tourists here. Everybody has fresh produce and there are many little stands along the street. Eggs, for example, are 25 cents Belize, which is $3 a dozen. That is $1.50 US.
When we got home we took a walk along the beach. It is pretty “dirty” with debris from the last storm—sea grass, palm branches, etc. We found a lot of large conch shells. We brought a couple home and put them in some bleach water to clean them up.
After that we messed with internet access for a bit and then went to the pool and met several of our neighbors.

Last evening we went to a little restaurant around the corner where everyone was going for dinner and a Belikin—the local beer. We had seafood chowder and then a seafood fettuccini. WOW! It was really, really good. I don’t think it was that good for my diet though. Came home, messed with the internet some more, and then off to bed. By that time it was almost midnight.
