Raggae

A couple Wednesdays ago Gail and I went to a restaurant called “Jambel’s”.
Gail loves the Jamaican food--especially the jerk pork and chicken.  As you can see, not only did they have pork and chicken but they also had quite a nice selection of other things to go with it.
In addition, they had a very complete bar.
They had  live Raggae style music that started early and was a nice complement to dinner.  It was not loud and crazy but good relaxing music.

If you can imagine, this restaurant only has three walls.  There is no wall on the beach side and the restaurant is completely open to the beach.  The floors are sand and they have additional seating where you can just relax and listen to the music.
One of the very unique features was the faucets in the bathrooms.  They were made of conch shells and you turned them on by stepping on a pedal on the floor.
The only negative about the restaurant was the guy told us the meal cost $20.  All prices are always quoted in Belize money.  However, when we got the bill, it was $20US for each meal which is actually $40Belize.  It ended up costing a little more than we like to spend, but it was a good evening.
